FM ActionLink - Kits 3D

Manual installation

  1. Check for BepInEx 6

Open the game folder (the one with fm.exe) and look for a BepInEx folder. If it is not there, follow "Don't have BepInEx 6 yet?" below first.

  2. Copy the plugin

Extract the .zip into the game folder, merging with the BepInEx folder that is already there. You should end up with BepInEx\plugins\FMActionLink.Kits3D\FMActionLink.Kits3D.dll.

  3. Have your kits ready (optional)

The plugin looks for kits in your graphics folder, reading the config.xml files the way the game does. If it finds none, it uses the game's official kits: home, away and third.

  4. Start the game

Open Football Manager 26. To confirm the plugin loaded, open BepInEx\LogOutput.log and look for the plugin's name.

Don't have BepInEx 6 yet?
  1. Download the right build

FM26 uses BepInEx 6 for Unity IL2CPP, not 5. Download the file named BepInEx-Unity.IL2CPP-win-x64-... (build 755 or newer). Do not take the Mono files or anything labelled 5.x. You can tell them apart once extracted: BepInEx 6 IL2CPP has a dotnet folder next to the BepInEx folder; 5 does not.

  2. Extract into the game folder

Extract the file into your Football Manager 26 folder, the one containing fm.exe. Next to fm.exe you should see the BepInEx and dotnet folders and a winhttp.dll file.

  3. Start the game once and wait

On first launch BepInEx reads the whole game and generates its files. This takes several minutes, and the game may look frozen or show a black window. Let it finish.

  4. Confirm it worked

The file BepInEx\LogOutput.log now exists and the BepInEx\interop folder is full of .dll files. Only then install the plugin.

How to use
  • See the kits in 3D

On the club screen the kits appear in 3D. A small button at the bottom left switches the card model: original, eKit or mannequin.

  • Meet the full 3D view

The full 3D view has a tab per kit, zoom with the mouse wheel (1x to 3x, aimed at the cursor; double-click resets), a button to switch between the Original and eKit models and a light button with 5 presets. Official kits carry an "Official" badge.

  • Tune it in the config file

Edit BepInEx\config\FMActionLink.Kits3D.cfg. Keys: skin (default, ctrl26, asf or mrtini), cardKits3D, cardModel, lightPreset, cardSpin, cardSpinSeconds, kitBrightness, userKitBrightness and mannequinBrightness. Use a dot as the decimal separator. The file is re-read every second, no game restart needed.

Good to know
  • The game has no official 3D goalkeeper kit. The goalkeeper only shows if there is a kit for them in your graphics folder.
  • Kits installed by other programs while the game is open are picked up on their own: the plugin watches for changes in the config.xml files.
  • Faces (optional): if you use HeadHunter, the model shows the captain's head; if the captain has none, the first squad player who has one. With no heads installed, the model stays grey.
  • On the ASF skin, set skin = asf in the config file.
